Etsako East, Edo State – In a landmark move to accelerate development across our communities, the Acting Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, formally presented the 2026 Appropriation Bill before the Legislative Arm of the Council.

The ceremony, held at the Council Chamber in Agenebode, marks a decisive step toward delivering tangible progress to every ward, from the urban centers to the most remote villages of Etsako East.

Receiving the fiscal document, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Lucky Obado Isah, applauded the Chairman’s visionary leadership and results-driven approach to governance. He praised the administration’s focus on people-first projects and its unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and grassroots transformation.

2026 Budget Size:
Nine Billion, Seven Hundred and Forty-Five Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Naira, Sixty-Four Kobo (₦9,745,852,275.64)

This budget is designed to consolidate peace, expand opportunities, and uplift living standards across Etsako East. It prioritizes critical sectors that touch the daily lives of our people — including roads, healthcare, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and security — ensuring that no community is left behind.

The Chairman reaffirmed that every naira will be deployed to serve the people, with open-door monitoring and collaboration with the Legislative Arm to guarantee value for money and timely delivery of projects.

The Etsako East Local Government Council remains united in purpose: to build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous homeland where the dividends of democracy are felt in every household.

Etsako East is moving forward — with purpose, with unity, and with hope.
