There is a developing story concerning the viral videos and photographs circulated by a blogger known as Mr. Common Sense, who made unfounded and false allegations against the Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council and highly respected Chairman of ALGON, Edo State, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson.
In his publication, Mr. Common Sense alleged that Rt. Hon. Ekpeson swore-in the Legislative Arm of Etsako East LGC in a Hotel in Benin City.
Following this allegation against the Council Chairman and ALGON Chairman, Edo State, Rt. Hon. Ekpeson, a large number of Mr. Common Sense’s own Facebook followers have flooded his comment section to condemn his action of publishing sensitive information without proper verification.
The public is asking a pertinent question: Mr. Common Sense is not an indigene of Etsako East Local Government Council, he is not a resident of the Local Government, and none of his family members reside there. How and where then did he get this false information? It is clear that it was done merely in search of likes and comments, known as traffic, on his Facebook page.
This singular act has made many of his followers condemn his actions. Not only that, to a large extent, many of his fans rained abusive words on him, which was not what he expected when he sought cheap popularity.
We believe that if Mr. Common Sense, now being referred to as Mr. Small Sense by the people, is following the reactions on his own page by now, he would cover his face in shame.
Because when a person lies against someone by taking advantage of the public and misleading members of the public whom you want to believe you, but later the truth turns against you, that is nothing but shame upon such an individual.
It is important to state clearly that the people who are speaking about the goodness of the Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, were not tipped and were not paid to do so. They are speaking out because of the dividends of democracy they have been enjoying from his purposeful administration, even from the time he served in acting capacity.
In the entire 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State, no one has had it so good like Etsako East. Those who reside in the Local Government, the indigenous people, know what we are talking about, and they have started testifying openly on Mr. Small Sense’s page.
One of the most striking embarrassments for him was that some of his own loyal fans commented and I quote: “Mr. Common Sense, we like following your page, but on this issue of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Ekpeson, you have got it wrong.”
Others commented like, “Mr. Common Sense should always try to verify information before posting.”
While another said, “I am not a party member, neither am I an APC fan, but what Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson has done in Etsako East is beyond what you are merely dragging him for on your Facebook Page here.”
What step or conclusion will Mr. Common Sensenow take to respond to the fight he has started on his page that he cannot win, his Facebook Page is about to burst?
One of those who commented is Multiple High Chief Jimmy Anethua, The ASEGIEMHE OF UWANO KINGDOM.” According to Multiple High Chief Jimmy Anethua in his words: “There is an adage that says when you observe so many people talking good about one particular person, it means heaven is as well talking good about that person, Mr. Common Sense.
There is also an adage in my place that says he who did not go to the market can’t tell prices of what goods, commodities and items were being sold at the market.
I am a High Chief from same Etsako East LGA with RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA AKIOTU (EKPESON), He was already made long before he became Etsako East LGA Chairman and spraying money, having fun, just the way Governor Adeleke loves dancing has been his life style.
Rt. Hon. Ekpeson’s philanthropism has gone far and wide Mr. Common Sense, at least you can see it from your comment section… RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA AKIOTU (EKPESON), has created positive impact on so many people which made him today the best Chairman Etsako East LGA has ever produced and by the special grace of God Almighty, before the end of his tenure the good people of Etsako East LGA will benefit a lot of development and progress, under his administration.
Mr. Common Sense as you are popularly known and called, I will advise you based on good comments on your section concerning RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA AKIOTU (EKPESON) which a lot of us have clarified you, to please publicly do the needful by fulfilling righteousness to tender apology to him, or you might be summoned for defamation of character.”
In conclusion, in his attempt to get more fans through what he posted about Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, Mr. Common Sense has instead started losing followers.
