FOSTERING PARTNERSHIPS FOR PROGRESS: RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA EKPESON ENGAGES BUA GROUP AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, PAVING THE WAY FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN ETSAKO EAST

Etsako East, Edo State – Yesterday, Wednesday, 15th April, 2026, the Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, took a significant step towards driving grassroots development and strengthening public-private collaboration. A high-level meeting with BUA Group management, led by the renowned businessman Abdul Samad Rabiu, and critical stakeholders was held in Obu-Okpella, Edo State, focusing on key developmental priorities and sustainable growth.

The meeting, attended by Hon. Charles Aloaye Dagana, Vice Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council; Hon. Edward Imanobe, Secretary to the Local Government Council; Rt. Hon. Isah Lucky Obado, Speaker of the Legislative Arm; Mr. Peter Imodibo, Special Adviser to the Local Government Council; Alhaji Chief Haruna Afegbua, (popularly known) as Bombay, a respected community leader; Dr. Innocent Alenogena, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA); Mr. Charles Ahonsi, Head of Administration and General Services; Mr. Oduafi Kehinde, Director of Finance and Treasury; and Heads of various departments in the council, explored actionable pathways for improving infrastructure, enhancing economic opportunities, and promoting peaceful coexistence between host communities and corporate partners.

The chairman of (ALGON,) Edo State Chapter, Rt. Hon. Ekpeson reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with major investors and community leaders. “Our goal is to deliver long-term progress and improve the welfare of our people,” he stated.

The Council Chairman’s efforts were warmly received by BUA Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate with significant investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, and agriculture.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for Rt. Hon. Ekpeson to engage with Dangote Group although the meeting was postponed due to the unavailability of management representatives. The council boss looks forward to rescheduling the meeting to address community concerns and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The visit underscores Etsako East’s commitment to building partnerships and driving progress. As Rt. Hon. Ekpeson noted, “Together, we can achieve greatness and create a brighter future for our people.”
