FROM HARDSHIP TO HOPE: RT. HON. SUNNY EKPEPETIKA EKPESON, DELIVERS GRADED ACCESS ROADS TO (WARD 6) OGUTE-OKE COMMUNITY IN OKPELLA – LINKING HOMES TO OPPORTUNITY, EASING MOVEMENT, LIFTING LIVES, AND REAFFIRMING ETSAKO EAST’S COMMITMENT TO BUILDING TOGETHER UNDER ONE VISION
Etsako East, Edo State – Progress has found its way to the doorsteps of Ogute-Oke community in Okpella. Under the people-focused leadership of Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, Acting Executive Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, new access roads in Ward 6 have been graded and opened for use.
This week, Hon. Charles Aloaye Dagana, the Vice Chairman of Etsako East LGC, led an inspection team with Project Supervisor Dr. Samuel Oshiole across Okpella.
They walked through completed graded roads and newly opened link roads to assess quality, encourage the construction crew, and witness firsthand how the work is transforming daily life.
For years, the good people of Ogute-Oke faced real hardship. The rocky, hilly terrain and lack of connecting roads made movement difficult for families, farmers, and traders.
Today, that story has changed. Freshly graded roads now link homes to the main community routes, bringing ease, safety, and dignity back to Ward 6.
The joy in Ogute-Oke was impossible to miss. Councilor Eshioke, who represents the good people of Ward 6, in Etsako East Local Government Council Legislative Arm joined elders, women, and youths as they lined the streets with gratitude.
Smiles, prayers, and songs of appreciation filled the air.
The people openly thanked His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, for his vision of development that reaches every corner.
They also praised Rt. Hon. Ekpetika Ekpeson for turning promises into paved paths.
Speaking with one voice, Ogute-Oke residents said this intervention proves they are remembered and valued.
They pledged their full support for Rt. Hon. Ekpetika Ekpeson as he prepares to contest the upcoming local government election under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC declaring him their preferred choice to continue delivering people-centered projects.
This is what governance should look like – listening to the people, reaching the grassroots, and building infrastructure that lifts lives.
Etsako East is moving forward, one community at a time.
