UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA EKPESON, ETSAKO EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL STANDS UNITED TO GUARANTEE SAFE SCHOOLS, STRONG SECURITY, AND A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR EVERY CHILD IN OUR COMMUNITIES
OFFICIAL BROADCAST
Etsako East, Edo State – The safety of our children and teachers remains our highest priority in Etsako East.
Following recent security alerts across Edo North, the Etsako East Local Government Council has taken immediate steps to strengthen protection around every school in our communities and beyond.
Under the direct leadership of the Acting Executive Chairman and Edo State ALGON Chairman, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, the welfare and security of students and school administrators have been placed at the center of our response plan.
His vision is clear: every child must learn in an environment of peace, confidence, and hope.
To achieve this, all security agencies partnering with the Council have been placed on full alert.
Our local vigilante groups, Edo State Security Corps, NSCDC, Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigerian Army are now carrying out consistent patrols around school premises during class hours.
This increased presence is to assure parents, teachers, and students that their safety is guaranteed at all times.
In addition, the Chairman has called on all school heads, traditional rulers, and community leaders to work closely with the Council.
Every community is urged to mobilize our youths to clear bushes and overgrown vegetation around school compounds, particularly schools located far from the town center.
A clean and open environment improves visibility, strengthens alertness, and builds a stronger shield around our schools.
The Special Adviser on Security to the Chairman, Mr. Bright Omoudu, has already commenced engagement with our royal fathers and school leaders to coordinate this community-driven exercise.
This collaboration between government, traditional institutions, and the people is the foundation of lasting peace and security.
The position of the Council is firm and clear: there is no safe haven for kidnappers or criminal elements in Etsako East Local Government Council.
With the dedication of our security personnel and the unity of our communities, we will secure our schools and protect the future of our children.
Together, under this leadership, Etsako East will remain a land of learning, growth, and progress for generations to come.
