Ahead of the September 4th 2026 swearing-in of newly elected Local Government Council Chairmen in Edo State, the Chairman-Elect of Etsako East Local Government Council and Edo State ALGON Chairman, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, took his grassroots development message to the airwaves on EBS Radio 95.7FM.
Ekpeson featured on the popular “Drive O’Clock” programme, where he engaged listeners, Edo people and Nigerians on the place of Local Government Administration in grassroots development in Nigeria.
Speaking against the backdrop of his imminent assumption of office as the elected Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Council, Ekpeson highlighted the importance of responsive local governance in addressing the needs of communities and translating government policies into tangible results at the grassroots.
His appearance also offered listeners an insight into the responsibilities confronting the incoming council administrations as Edo State prepares to inaugurate its elected Local Government Chairmen.
With the swearing-in scheduled for tomorrow, Ekpeson’s message on EBS Radio provided a timely perspective on the role local councils must play in strengthening grassroots development and improving the lives of residents across Edo State.
