A HEART OF SERVICE IN ACTION: ACTING EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN RT. HON. SUNNY EKPETIKA EKPESON EXTENDS LIFE-CHANGING SUPPORT TO RESIDENT IN NEED, REAFFIRMING ETSAKO EAST COUNCIL’S COMMITMENT TO HUMANITY AND CARE

Leadership Rooted in Compassion
Today, the Etsako East Local Government Council once again demonstrated that governance is most meaningful when it touches lives directly.

The Acting Executive Chairman and ALGON Chairman for Edo State Chapter, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, responded swiftly to a heartfelt appeal from Mr. Moses Eshiomoka Ekpekha of Osomhegbe quarters, Agenebode, who visited the Council secretariat seeking assistance for his eye condition.

Mr. Moses, a middle-aged resident, explained that his medication had run out and he lacked the resources to continue treatment for his eye-related health challenge. His visit was a call for hope, and it was met with immediate empathy and action.

A Timely Gesture of Hope
After listening attentively to Mr. Moses’ concerns, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson acted with characteristic kindness and responsibility. To ensure the resident could access the medical care he urgently needed, the Chairman provided a financial assistance of ₦300,000 to cover the cost of his drugs and treatment.

This intervention reflects the Chairman’s belief that public service must go beyond policy and projects—it must also bring relief and dignity to individuals facing difficult moments.

For Mr. Moses, the support represents more than funds; it is renewed hope for better health and improved quality of life.

Service That Puts People First
The gesture has drawn appreciation from residents and stakeholders who see it as a clear example of leadership that listens and responds.

Rt. Hon. Ekpeson has consistently shown that the wellbeing of citizens remains at the center of the Council’s priorities, whether through community development or direct humanitarian support.

Etsako East Local Government Council remains committed to promoting welfare, supporting vulnerable residents, and building a community where no one is left behind in their time of need.
